Turn on push notifications for this device
Push is enabled per device — your phone being set up doesn't cover your laptop. The "This device" card shows where you stand and fixes it in one tap.
Push notifications are a handshake between Lumicura and each device you use: your account says what to send, and each phone, tablet, or computer has to be turned on to receive it. Setting up your phone doesn’t enroll your laptop — each device is its own switch.
Turn on this device
- Open Notification settings from your account menu.
- Look at the This device card at the top. It tells you the truth about the device in your hand — “Ready to receive notifications,” “Not set up,” or “Blocked by your browser.”
- If it isn’t set up, tap Turn on for this device and allow notifications when your browser asks.
That’s it. Repeat on any other device you want pinged — the card notes when you’re also receiving on other devices.
The app will also offer politely on its own — a “turn on notifications?” prompt the first time it matters, and a “finish setting up this device” nudge when your account wants push but the device you’re on isn’t enrolled. “Not now” always works; the card is there whenever you change your mind.
If it says “Blocked by your browser”
You (or your browser) previously said no, and browsers remember. Enable notifications for Lumicura in your browser’s site settings, then reload the page and try again.
On iPhone
iPhones only deliver web push to installed apps: add Lumicura to your home screen first and open it from that icon — see Install the app on your phone.
Still not receiving?
- Check the account-wide switches under What to notify me about — if announcement or message push is off for your account, no device gets them.
- Check Quiet hours — during your quiet window nothing pushes, by design.
- Remember that muted channels and digest-mode channels don’t push — that’s what those settings are for. Anything you’ve missed is in your notifications inbox.
