Join a committee

Browse your school's committees, ask to join the ones that fit, and know what happens after you raise your hand.

Committees are where the parent organization’s actual work happens — the gala, the book fair, hospitality, the yearbook. The Committees directory shows what exists at your school and gives you one button to raise your hand.

Browse and request

  1. Open Committees from the main menu. Each card shows the committee, what it does, how many members it has, and who chairs it.
  2. Found your people? Tap Request to join, optionally with a note (“I did this at our old school”).
  3. The chair reviews requests. Your card shows Requested until they decide — and you can withdraw the request if you change your mind.

Once approved, you’re in: you appear in the member list, and the committee’s channel shows up in your Messages automatically — that’s where the coordination happens.

What being on a committee means in the app

  • The channel — the committee’s ongoing conversation, yours as long as you’re a member. See How channels work.
  • Its events, sign-ups, and documents — the committee’s page gathers what’s coming up, roles to fill, sheets to claim, and files, so “what does this committee need?” has one answer.
  • Leaving — done after the gala wraps? Ask the chair to remove you; the channel and lists follow.
