Check your hours and balance

Read your family's running tally — what you've earned, what's left, and the activity list behind the number.

No more emailing the coordinator in April to ask where your family stands. Your running tally is in the app, updated as credit lands.

See your balance

  1. Open Service Hours (or your school’s name for it) from the main menu.
  2. The top of the page shows your family’s year at a glance: the target your school set, what you’ve earned so far, and what’s remaining.
  3. Below is the activity list — every credit entry, with what it was for, how much, and when it landed.

Because the commitment is shared by your whole family, this is one tally no matter who earned what — see Understand your family’s commitment.

Reading the activity list

Each entry is one credit: “Fall Festival — setup crew, 3 hours, Oct 4.” Entries come from QR check-ins, coordinator entries, and any other ways your school grants credit — see How credit gets added.

An entry can show as pending — recorded, but waiting on a coordinator’s approval. Pending entries are listed so you know they’re in the works, but they count toward your balance only once approved. You can filter the list to see approved and pending entries separately.

If your school ever corrects an entry, you may see the old line replaced by an adjusted one. That’s bookkeeping done right: corrections are made in the open, and the history stays honest. The balance always reflects the current, corrected state.

If the balance looks wrong

  1. Wait a few days first if you’re expecting a coordinator-entered credit — manual entries take a little time.
  2. Check you’re looking at the right school, if your family belongs to more than one — each school keeps its own tally. See Switch between schools.
  3. Scan the activity list for what’s missing or off — a specific “the Fall Festival shift isn’t here” gets resolved much faster than “my number looks low.”
