Install the app on your phone
Put Lumicura on your home screen — iPhone and Android — so it opens like a regular app and can send you notifications.
Lumicura doesn’t come from the App Store or Google Play — it installs straight from your web browser. Same app, no store account needed, and it updates itself automatically.
Installing is optional (the app works fine in a browser tab), but it’s worth doing: you get an icon on your home screen, a full-screen app without browser controls, and — on iPhone — it’s what allows push notifications to work.
On iPhone or iPad
- Open Lumicura in Safari (this one needs Safari — other browsers on iOS can’t add apps to the home screen).
- Tap the Share button (the square with an arrow pointing up).
- Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen.
- Tap Add.
Lumicura now opens from its own icon like any other app. If you want push notifications on your iPhone, open the app from that icon and turn notifications on when asked — see Choose what you get notified about.
On Android
- Open Lumicura in Chrome (or another modern browser).
- Tap the ⋮ menu in the top corner.
- Tap Install app (on some phones it says Add to Home screen).
- Confirm.
On a computer
In Chrome or Edge, look for the small install icon at the right end of the address bar and click it. Lumicura opens in its own window from then on. This is entirely optional — the browser tab works just as well on a desktop.
Updating
There’s nothing to update manually. Lumicura refreshes itself in the background; when a new version ships, you’ll simply have it the next time you open the app.
