Update your profile and family info
What you can change yourself (contact details, preferences) and what your school maintains (the roster, your children's enrollment).
Your profile covers you; your family record covers everyone in your household. Some of it you edit yourself, and some of it comes from your school’s roster.
What you can change yourself
Open your profile from the app menu to update:
- Your profile photo.
- Your sign-in email — changing it includes a quick verification step, since it’s also how you sign in.
- Light or dark mode and other display preferences.
- Your notification preferences, including the mobile number used for announcement texts — see Choose what you get notified about.
Changes take effect right away. Your name, on the other hand, comes from the school’s roster (see below) — if it’s spelled wrong, that’s a roster fix.
What your family record shows
Your family’s entry ties everything together: the parents and guardians in your household(s), your children and their grades, and your family’s service-hour tally. Lumicura keeps child information deliberately minimal — just a name and grade, enough to put you in the right class channels. No child accounts, no child photos, no child data beyond that.
What comes from the roster
Who’s in your family, which children are enrolled, and their grades come from your school’s roster — the same one that let you create your account. You can’t edit these in the app, and that’s intentional: the school’s enrollment records are the source of truth.
Split households
If parents live at two addresses, the school can flag your family as a split household so each household manages its own contact info and sees its own view. If your family needs this and doesn’t have it, ask your school admin to set it up.
