Subscribe to the calendar

Add your school schedule to the calendar app you already use — one private feed that follows your filters and stays up to date by itself.

Subscribing puts school events into your own calendar app, alongside everything else in your life — and it stays current on its own. Subscribe once; when the school adds or changes an event, your calendar updates automatically.

Get your feed

  1. Open Calendar in Lumicura and tap Subscribe.
  2. The dialog offers one-tap buttons for Apple Calendar and Google Calendar, plus a link you can Copy for any other calendar app.

Your feed is personal, and it’s smarter than a plain events list:

  • It carries everything you can see — events, your shifts, your sign-ups, deadlines, and any outside calendars your school shows — not just the events grid.
  • It follows your filters. The feed matches the legend chips you have switched on right now, and the dialog lists exactly what’s in and out. Want it all regardless? Tap Subscribe to everything instead. To change what an existing subscription carries, adjust your filters and grab a fresh link.
  • It’s private — treat the link like a password. It shows your family’s schedule, so don’t post or forward it. The link also expires periodically; if your calendar stops updating, come back to the Subscribe dialog for a fresh one.

The buttons handle Apple and Google. For anything else, copy the link and add it where your calendar app takes a subscription:

  • Outlook — in the calendar view, Add calendarSubscribe from web, paste the link, name it, confirm.
  • Other apps — look for “subscribe,” “add by URL,” or “internet calendar” and paste the link there.

Good to know

  • Read-only. The feed flows one way — events flow into your calendar, and nothing you do in your own calendar changes anything at school. For full event details and sign-ups, use the app: see Browse the school calendar.
  • Updates aren’t instant. Calendar apps refresh subscribed feeds on their own schedule — typically within a few hours, up to a day for some. For just-announced changes, the app is the source of truth.
  • All-day events won’t block your time — they arrive marked “free,” so a spirit week doesn’t make you look busy for five days.
  • Unsubscribing is done in your calendar app (remove the subscribed calendar), not in Lumicura.
