Find answers in your school's knowledge base
Your school's own how-we-do-things library lives inside the app. What's in it, how it differs from these docs, and how to search it.
There are two kinds of questions you’ll have as a school parent: “how does this app work?” and “how does our school do things?” You’re reading the answer-place for the first kind. The Knowledge Base inside the app is the answer-place for the second — and it’s written by your school, not by Lumicura.
What’s in your school’s knowledge base
Whatever your school has decided its families keep asking:
- Where to park for pickup, and which door for morning drop-off.
- How the service-hour program works at your school — what counts, deadlines, buyouts.
- Who to contact for what — the volunteer coordinator’s actual name and email.
- Dress code for volunteers, background-check requirements, gala FAQ.
Notice these are all things Lumicura couldn’t possibly know. That’s the dividing line: these docs describe the tool; your school’s KB describes your school.
Browse or search it
- Open Knowledge Base from the app’s main menu.
- Browse by category, skim the FAQs, or search.
- Articles are ordinary reading — open, read, done.
You can also just ask a question in your own words and let the app find the answer for you — see Ask a question and get an answer.
If the answer isn’t there
The knowledge base is only as complete as your school has made it. If your question isn’t answered:
- Ask in a relevant channel — and when the answer comes back, suggest the school add it to the KB so the next family finds it.
- Contact the school office or the relevant coordinator directly.
Don’t see a Knowledge Base in your menu?
Your school hasn’t turned the module on. Which features are enabled is a per-school choice — see Find your way around.
